Kingston D3208DW3T-5U BH-5 ??

I just got 2 512Mb sticks of remarked kingston ram ( D3208DW3T-5U ) Iv read that D328DW-5 is BH-5 Here Did i get lucky ?? Did I get 2 BH-5 sticks? Or is it just normal ram ? It does like tight timings( 2 2 2 9@ 440, 3 4 4 11 is stock @ 400 i believe ) and more voltage ( thow My K7N2 Delta L only can put out 2.7 thow :( ) If its not BH-5 what do i have ?? I orderd a DDR booster ;) I might not be able to use it but i thought it might come in handy one day :nod:..........

BH-5 doesnt boot with CL3

 

you can always check the chips, try finding a pic on the web to compare with.

Well thare stock at DDR400 3 3 3 8 so thay do run Cas3 ...Maybe thare BH-6 or CH-5 ?? Im running 2 2 0 11 now BTW ( Priming for 4 hours now, no errors so far ) ..odd how CPUz and Everest wont show a Precharg value under 1...

I got another DFI infinity NF2 BTW....

D3208DW3T-5U... Are there any other parts numbers on the chips than just those?

 

How about if you go to the SPD tab in CPU-Z, do you get any reporting of the week

and year they were made and/or other info? You could also check the SPD area

under Motherboard in Everest. There may be other progs you could use too.

I think thats all thay have on them ..Ill pull them out later and look... 2 2 0 11 is unstable prime failed ~ 5, hours priming 2 2 1 11 now lol....SPD tab in CPU Z....

and a higher value stronger with those, or vice versa?

Curious what you're take on that is.

 

Does seem like BH-5, or similar types of RAM. Of course

you hardly need me to tell you that, heh.

 

I wonder if anyone at Kingston would give you the low-

down on the RAM chips if you gave someone the numbers

off of one of the chips?

Drive strengths: I gain stability buy using higher values up to 9, my theory is that above 9 the "drive" overdrives or distorts similar to how a stereo distorts when the volume is to hi.

 

Slews: 4 seems to be the best spot for me, thow i havent played with it mutch. It seems that changes here have little effect, thow lower #s seems more stable and higher #s seems faster but less stable.

 

I havent played to mutch with the voltage but 3V isent enough to run 2 2 2 11 @ 500 i havent tryed 3.1 or 3.2.

 

So far DDR500 2 2 2 11, CPC off, Alphas 0 0 3 3 2 2 3, Drives 9, Slews 4, at 3.3V is 100% stable for 24 Hours in memtest

Here's some settings that I've run before

and with 3x 256MB BH-5:

233MHz-x10-66MHz-1:1, 1.7v-1.6v-1.7v-3.1v

E-A-E, 9-2-2-2-2.0, 9-12, 2-2-4-3-2-2-3

3-10-3-10-3-10, E-E-F-E, E-E-256MB

APIC enabled

 

Do you have a copy of the S&M utility, which is great for

testing RAM, CPU and possibly PSUs in Windows? I've

found it's excellent for detecting errors and issues much

quicker than many other methods of testing for stability

within an OS environment.

 

Of course there are other things I run also, but I usually

start out with S&M first and then move on to other things.

 

Memtest is good to run from a non-OS environment, but

it will often not reveal errors that can be found when

running in Windows. You might already be aware of that,

sorry if that's the case. I'm hardly trying to speak down

to you.
