Yeah, you need to have a passworded account by default.

 

There is s way to allow it to connect without using passwords but obviously it's not recommended.

 

Basically what I've done on my computers is set myself a main account named "lackobreath" on each comp, and I just use the same password for both of them.

i tried vnc and i just didnt like it. windows remote access is so easy, and free. Sense im on a LAN its wicked fast, basicly like im at my desktop, i dont notice a difference.

i like vnc better, altho its abit more complicated, i can have more controls. can even drag n drop files to local computer.

im using symantec pc-anywhere here at work and its fine

we use pcanywhere at work also, its ok. it has a lot of overhead and can be a real bandwidth kill if your on a not so fast connection.

Windows Remote Desktop can do this as well. you can also bring sound to the local computer. if your host's upload speed is decent you can stream music over.
