Why must i give the ram mor volt when i oc?

hi

i want to know why i have to give the ram more volt when i overclock my system. it is ddr 400 ram and he runs at 200mhz, it isnt overclocked. but why more volt?

he isnt running out of his specifications.

if its not overclocked then you dont have to...

You have to gove more voltage when you overclock the ram..

what overclocking are you talking about? you ask why you have to give ram more voltage when you overclock, then you are saying its not overclocked...!!

When you overclock the cpu, you have to raise the HTT. Raising the HTT overclocks your ram, unless you are using the ram dividers.

YOU have to use dividers and bring down the memory clock. Upping fsb means ocing both the cpu and the ram unless you use a divider and run the ram at a lower freq.

Not the Everest, what do *YOU* have put in the bios for your memory divider?

ok this are my settings:

DRam Ratio: 150 (3/04)

LDT FSB Ratio x3

LDT Bus Transfer Ratio 16 16

CPU FSB ratio x10
