delemon Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I also have a Opty 148 CAB2E... I followed the guides, running 2.9GHz stable for weeks now. Though it took 2 weeks of tweaking to really get a good feel and be comfortable with this.

oczn00b Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Just setup my newest creation. I have an Opteron 148 CAB2E and straight out of the box I was able to get 2.8GHz at 1.375v, though it wasn't really stable it did boot into Windows. I'm pretty confident that I can get this stable with the right tweaks at around 2.7-2.8GHz which would be great.
delemon Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I spent a full 18 hours the first day I had mine installed. I was able to do 2.8GHz on "Auto" voltage with mine, but 2820 wasn't stable (282X10) without adding voltage. I can get stable clocks at 293x10, but Dungeon Siege 2 gets really odd glitches and ends up crashing, even though I was 12+ hours prime stable, memtest stable 20+ hours, and everything else stable. at 295x10 the only thing I couldn't get stable was 3DM03, would always crash as it loaded the first test, Wings of Fury. I'm going to try and fine tune this thing once I get my Evercool VC-RE and my Lian-Li PC-V1000. Have my AS5 handy and will see if I can get 2.9 stable at under 1.55V.
