The_Abbot Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 My chipset fan has been acting very strange lately. Every now and then, I can here it idling up and down (like a car engine reving up). I have lowered the temp settings/max fan speed in the bios, and that seemed to fix it(fan was on high all the time), but now it's doing it again. Has anyone else had this issue? Guest FZ1 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 The temps you are hitting are either hitting the temp threshold set in the BIOS or SmartGuardian (if you are using it). Adjusting the paramters for this will alleviate the problem altough your temps might suffer. Upgrade to an Evercool VC-RE and be done with it
Guest thespin Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Jab-Tech currently has the VC-RE in stock; maybe not for long ...
