Theres a little orange light near the diagnostic led's thats supposed to be on all the time. Its not one of the 4 diag led's, but its very close to them. It just means that its plugged into a psu and the psu is recieving power.

It goes out when you flick the psu switch to off. Its perfectly normal. Quite useful too, as it reminds you to turn off the psu before tinkering.

Theres another one near the memory sticks that shows they're plugged in, and possibly one near the lan port too.

I assume you're just asking out of interest, and you don't have any problems or anything?

Yeah just out of interest.

I though it might be related to a problem I am having.

Take prime95 for example it runs when my vcore is set to 1.55V it runs for 8 Hours+ on torture test.

But when i try and run a game the system crashes or say i try to run 3d mark 2003. When i change the vcore to 1.63 everything runs fine including games.

Anyone got any ideas what’s causing this?

I was thinking it was a psu issue but surely the one in my spec is more than enough. I have tried connecting the graphics card using 2 molex connectors instead of the PCIE connector but this makes no difference.

So for now my system has to run at the higher voltage , not sure why though.

But surely if its running prime95 solid then that means the "cpu" is stable. It would also indicate to me that the memory is stable.

No, all it means is that it's stable when running Prime95... My system runs Prime just fine and still manages to crash during some games...
