BigKohones Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Hi. My systems stability problems have gotten worse. I ran memtestx86 for 3hrs on a single Corsair CMX512-PC3200 v1.1 at 2-3-3-6-2T w/ Genie Dram voltage set at 2.74 as required by Corsair's user guide. The dimm is in slot 3 (orange slot farthest from the fan). Whats happening is my system will post fine from a cold boot; once windows is loaded I can do whatever but every now and then the foreground app will freeze or the entire system will freeze. I will usually recover withing 1.5 minutes however as of last night the system began non recoverable freezes. In the case of a non-recoverable freeze a system reset is done and now the 1 sata hdd does not show up in the post and thus can't start the system. If I shut it down power off and power back up it works again. Does this sound like a DFI motherboard issue, a ram issue, or a hdd issue? As is the current config is expert mobo, 1 dimm, 1 hdd (sata), 1 dvd-rw (ide), 1 evga 78000gt co, psu is OCZ 520w. cpu temp at freezes is between 32 ~ 41. mobo settings at stock except for mem; problem occurs no matter what mem settings. BigKohones Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Also I noticed when I post that IRQ 10 and IRQ 11 are used more than once. For instance 11 is used for both the USB and IDE controllers. Is this normal too or did I get a bad mobo?
