CBRTony6 Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Hey guys, I have spoken to a couple people from the forums about this subject, but I just wanted to make a thread about it and maybe get some feedback with people who have had the same issue. I have been searching online, and I came across this program which gives you information on your diff. voltages. I have been getting this message pop up: This utility I downloaded is called SpeedFan, which I have never heard of tonight but this is the readings I am getting which involve my PSU... I dont even know what half of that stuff at the bottom means, so thats why I thought I'd ask if that appears normal, and maybe my PSU is failing. I also do not have any power connectors on my 2 video cards what so ever so I know thats not my problem. http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=24480 That is also the PSU that I have inside my tower. Appreciate your comments!
Lesaonar Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Your voltage rails are a little bit low, but within 5% variance, could be dipping even further when you try to run a game etc.
CBRTony6 Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Would you recommend getting a new power supply?
rebelangel Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 readings in software based readouts tend to be low a bit lower than actual voltages although your is a bit lower than most people including myself get the antec neopower it is on the recomended psu list but it isn't recomended for sli so if you get this very clear message it's probably time to buy a new psu i would recomend keeping a eye on the future and buy one that has enough watts and conforms to the latest atx standard. the recomended psu list http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10854
KrossHair Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 your power supply looks like it only has a 20 pin connector,if you're trying to run two gpu's at once then i would recommend a 24 pin connector. Also i heard antecs aren't the greatest psu's around. rebelangel Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 that seems to be the most perferred psu on this forum you should be fine with that.
