Grunt_Style Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 ive had it a while. its under the 3 year warrenty(obviously since its an x2 4400) i dont evin have the reciept or box. i was gonna Try to RMA it since it was DOA....but i put it off for so long ive lost everything. I originaly figured i could RMA it anyways since the chip hasnt been on the market that long so bieng under the 3 year warrenty is a no brainer. but since i just damaged the outside of it now i doubt they gonna evin think twice before saying no. Cythrawl Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I thought the warrenty only came with the Boxed CPU's if its an OEM one, then AMD wont support it and you have to go thru your OEM Provider (I think,.. Grunt_Style Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 and since i dont have the box/fan/reciept that came with it i guess there would have been no point in an attempt at an RMA. so its not really a major loss. i got a 3800 from the local shop the same day i found out my 4400 was DOA. that was a while back and procrastination has officially cost me 500 bucks +the $400 for the 3800. altogether i spent over 900 on my CPU the way i see it. im such a tool.
