charlie22911 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 well, i had the thing playing me some rock music when it froze then smoke started coming out from under the keyboard... so i disassembled the thing and found a horridly burnt celery 900 (coppermine) with nice little scorch marks on the heatsink and a nice little burnt spot on the motherboard where it looks like something was once soddered. now to my question, it had a 15gig HDD in it (toshiba), and i read somewhere a while back that you could get a adapter to connect it to your desktop. can anyone recomend me one? also, i need a new lappy now for school, i want the centrino stuff, you know, the pentiumM (2Ghz+), a min of 512Mb ram, built in wireless. those are the only things i realy need, but i the best quality notebook with those specs, not something that may turn out like my old one . any suggestions please?
