Best Way To Transfer Bookmarks On Firefox?

I've been running Firefox 1.5 on one of my rigs for a while now, and have a ton of bookmarks all set up. I recently got DSL (don't ask - long story!) and set my network back up, so now I have all 3 rigs up and running DSL fine.

I'd like to use Firefox on all 3 rigs - I hate the childish Yahoo browser, and want to get away from IE. Where does Firefox store all the bookmarks? I'd like to just be able to transfer them "as is" rather than having to manually enter 'em!

if u wanna keep most of what u have in firefox to be replicated/duplicated on another pc, all that you have to do is to go to your documents and settings folder, open up the user profile that you log-on into windows with(assuming u r using firefox through it), open the application data folder, find the mozilla folder and copy the whole firefox folder in there to ur new pc(make sure the same version of firefox already installed) at the same folder level and location as from the ones you are copying.

You may not get the plug-ins to work though. Not a big deal.

Some general info: Both Netscape and Firefox save the bookmarks in a file called “bookmarks.html”. It doesn’t matter what version of Netscape or Firefox you're running, just placing the file itself will work the same for all. The key is knowing where to place it. In XP and I believe 2000 the path would be as divinemisfire said and then . Note: the "suwrzhsd.default" folder might be named some other goofy name on your system, but it will have the dot default extension. There is also a “bookmarks.bak” backup file there that should be the same size. Mine is kinda large for a bookmark file (350+ KB). I also back this file up on occasion, just in case something unexpected happens.

The only reason I mention this is because my kid’s PC mainly uses Netscape 7.2 and 98SE. Whenever I need to do something on it, I send the bookmarks on my PC to theirs. (I bookmark a ton. They bookmark nada.) Their bookmarks for Netscape are stored in . For Firefox 1.0.6(?) on theirs, it’s in . I imagine NT users would substitute “WINNT” for the WINDOWS folder.
