BigKohones Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Hi, I have a new expert, flashed to 12/7/05 bios. I can run 1 stick of my XMS memory, specifically rev1.1; the other dimm rev3.1 will not work at all even by itself. It does work a shuttle however. I upped the voltage to 2.74 in Genie as this is the voltage Corsair recommends. Any ideas?
operaman Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Try the orange slots. My Corsair PC4000 freaked out in the yellow ones. Moved to orange and am running the 704-2BT bios. Smooth as buttah. Try it...
BigKohones Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I tried running the 'bad' dimm in all slots, 1 by 1. In all cases would not post. Tried runing at both 1T and 2T. The good dimm will only post if its in an orange dimm.
StephenC Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 So one stck will not post in any slot? And the other one does ? If that is the case, then you will need to get with Corsair for a posible RMA.
