AaronATX Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I have a machine with a +3200 venice that i've popped the IHS on, cooled with an xp-90 that has been running @ 2.8ghz with 1.65vcore for almost a year now. Keep temps ok and stay under 1.7v and you should be fine.
Guest Lux Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I've heard over 1.7v is where electomigration starts to accelerate?? Funny thing though... my brother has been running his 2.4b Northwood at 3.2Ghz @1.75v for probably 2 years now without any issues what so ever. Default voltage for it is 1.55 though. That would be a boost of .2 volts. Probably means that 1.35v x2 shouldn't be over 1.55 -.2v difference. Hmmm..... what to do what to do...
