danup Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Hi all I have water cooling at processor, chipset and vga, at 38º 35º and 42º (in full), nice temps. But the mobo temp gets up to 61º (at the PWM area). I installed some heatsinks in the resistances of the mobo (the black squares next to the huge heatsinks that comes with the mobo) and also installed a fan on the top of the mobo (taking air from the memory heatsink area). That made the temperature get down to 52º. Is that normal? Is there any way to get less heat at that zone? My system is OC'ed but is not so much.... I heard about waterblocks for memory mofsets but not for the mobo ones... I also saw that the temperature sensor is very close to some of the resistances on the board, almost in contact with them, in some pics of the mobo I saw the sensor a little more far, maybe y should move it a little with a screwdriver? Maybe the temperature measuring is not ok... Hope u can help me a little. Thanks so much
Guest FZ1 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 try this button and put a fan on that area.
ExtraPickles Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Is that normal? Is there any way to get less heat at that zone? It's normal. To get the temps down further you have to have a fan blowing directly on that area. -pickles

I have the same problem as you with mobo temps and I am thinking of getting these fitted:- DFI Lanparty NF4 Mosfet Freezer: http://www.candccentral.co.uk/acatalog/Mos...ing_Blocks.html also http://www.mips-computer.de/images/dfi_ram...fet_mounted.jpg Both are available from mips-computer.de or there is a "Partner" link @ the top of their home page for resellers round the world.
