Guest maz Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Also, Which is better, 3/4/4/8@DDR 550 for 2 GIG vs 2.5/3/3/7@DDR550 for 1 GIG??? Thank you so so much, Maz
Gipse Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Hi, it depends on your needs... 2GB with relaxed timings (3-4-4-8) are good for gaming (BF2, F.E.A.R etc.). 1GB with "tight" timings are good for benchmarks/no high-end games; but who needs benchmarks in "real-world-use"? You can also use deviders with your 2GB kit and set tighter timings. There is a nice sticky from Angry in the overclocking section (tight timings and deviders). THunDA Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 I agree.. Its not a matter of which is 'better', its a matter of what YOU do with your rig. If your into benching then the tighter timings would be better.. If your a gamer then go with the 2gig's for sure.. Your gaming will be so much smoother with 2gig's that you will never look at a 1gig kit again..
