-CsA-TAZ Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 FX-53 Vs 4000+ which one should i buy , i can buy the FX-53 for £200, but is it any better than the 4000+ which i have now? I play games 99.99% of the time, what will it do that the 4000+ wont given the price difference when bought new?
Smoken Joe Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 For just gaming I would not bother with he system you have it might be slower at stock speeds. As it is on a larger die size and may not have as up to date a revision set Have you overclocked the one you have?( It would be cool for vapo cooling no pun intended)
Angry_Games Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 no the 4000+ is a San Diego model, 90nm, 1.4v the FX-53 is Clawhammer, 130nm, 1.5v if i remember correctly the San Diego is a much better cpu and it should go beyond 2400Mhz, which is the stock speed of the FX-53, and will generally clock higher because of die size/voltage/process
