Where are all the bioses?

Recommended Posts

I've read a lot of threads regarding using different bioses when overclocking and seeing which one works best with your components but the DFI website only has two available.

Are there other options and if so where can I find them?

I'm stuck on 2.65Ghz at the mo and am changing my ram to 2gb Corsair XMS. Processor stepping is A and it is a revision SH7-CG.

If anyone knows of a specific bios I should try please let me know.

The 5/04 official seems to be the best all around. There is also a 6/23 beta in the beta section of the DFI website. These bioses are also on Tmods CD (search tmod boot cd). 2650 on a hammer isn't bad. Doubt you will see any improvement from a bios.

I can recommend either the 05/04 or the 06/23 bios.

I'm currently running @ 2.85ghz with the same chip as you :)

What ever you do dont put that in the 754 Data base ok ;)

I'm running @ 1.525 with 113%, which equates to about 1.723volts

Cooling setup is a D-tek LRWW combined with an Aquaextreme 50Z pump and a thermochill 120.3 radiator with 3 Panaflo L1A fans running at 12v.

Idle temps are about 24 degrees according to smart guardian (cold room though)

I used to run at 2.7ghz with 1.65v when I was running on air :)

I flashed my bios to the 06/23 version, went for 1.350 @ 126% (1.701V), bumped the processor up to 2.7ghz and ran prime for 45minutes without any errors.

Load temps hit 55 which I think is reasonable at that voltage on air but I'd taken the side off the case and opened a window in the room.

yupp 2.7Ghz on air seems to be the highest I would go too, im getting 34C Idle and 52C OCCT load but the load on games such as BF2 only get to 44C. I need to look into the liquid cooling also if I want to give it more juice
