light Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 2 things in this post: 1: I have the Thermalright Si-120 with a Sharkoon 120cm @ 1000rpm fan connected to the cpu-fan socket on the motherboard, while playing games, the computer would make instant reboots of the machine after about a few minutes of gameplay. The fan also has a blue led on it which would fade out and fade in...also when my pc is off, and i go to turn it on, the cpu fan took some time to start up..so i decided to remove it from the motherboard power connector and hook it up to a 4pin molex straight to the psu, and everything was fixed! the games dont reboot anymore and the system is actually very stable now. 2: Does anyone here by any chance have a good timings settings for the Mushkin Redline Extreme performance 2x 1Gb dual channel kit? here is the link to them: http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/memory_detail.asp?ID=273 The site gives 4 timings, but the expert board has a about 11..i have no idea what to put for the rest. Thanks Dfi for a magnificent product
ICON57 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 look in the oc data base for people with a similar set up as you for ram timings. go into your bios health settings for cpu fan adjustments.
DublinGunner Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Yep. Sounds like your fan is only set to run when the CPU is quite hot, which may be why you're getting the reboots, and the fan only turns on now and then. As was said, you can adjust the settings in the BIOS

Thanks Dfi for a magnificent product Those are your standard, commercially advertised settings, I would leave everything else to defaults, and make sure the board is setting those particular settings to the sticks defaults.
