Bampeta Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 specification: 250 2 2 2 6 1t to 3,3v winbond UTT Is a good memory for LPNF2B??? This is his scores on nf4 ultra D lanparty: http://img290.imageshack.us/img290/8495/redline2709vs.jpg EDIT: PLEASE READ RULES ABOUT IMAGE SIZES Thx friends
medianOCer Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 If they're UTT-CH5 type RAM chips then they might be decent, or better than decent, on an NF2. Also, depending on what 3.2 to 3.3v would get you with them and how much savvy you have relative to your NF2 board.
benbaked Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 it's fairly expensive ram, and i recall reading a post on another forum from a mushkin rep that they weren't using UTT-CH5 on the redlines anymore...at least that or they aren't making the redlines anymore period. i was looking at getting some of this for my LpB but I couldn't justify the high cost for only 1 GB of ram, no matter how fast it is... instead i bought some ocz gold vx which is UTT-CH5 and it screams on my LpB. i think it may have been discontinued as well since i recall reading that winbond quit making UTT-CH5 ram, mainly because samsung tccd ram performs and overclocks just as well on a much wider variety of motherboards (doesn't require the insane voltages that UTT-CH5 does)

kitfit1 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 old bh5 is impossible to find asique the best one now for this plate are bh5 utt no? NO NO NO, utt bh5 is no use on the NF2 platform. It's not the same as the old BH5. Old BH5 needed lots of vdimm(3.1v+) to get to a high fsb at tight timings on an NF2. Utt bh5 also needs lots of vdimm, but you'll be lucky to get to 230fsb. Stick with utt ch5 or tcc. As a side note OCZ4000VX is utt ch5.

kitfit1 Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Mmmm and mushkin Redline ? have ch5 utt?? Yes they do, should clock well in a LanpartyB. Mine are OCZ4000VX and as you can see from my sig they fly in this mobo, you do need plenty of vdimm though to get them to perform.
