tweak50 Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. When I try to run certain applications this message pops up. It seams to happen random, but cubiceye web browser and video professor dvds, it happens everytime. Does anyone know what this means? Edit: This is on my dads computer. An HP pavilain, intel p4 2.93, 512 ram, running windows xp home. Im not sure what bios this is running, but it is stock as it came from circuit city. red930 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Unless the file is corrupted you shouldn't see that message. On the otherhand, the two applications you listed might not be playing nice with the old 16bit mode. I would install AVG and scan for a virus then install eweido and scan for malware.
