Help overclocking opteron 146 on Dfi EXPERT

icon57, i infact have the Opty 146 CAB2E 0545, not cabne, does your 148 only do 2.8ghz? my 146 does 2.75 with same stepping and week.

 

is your ram the gskill LA ram or one of the other ones as i might be able to copy your ram settings.

try dropping your multiplier on the cpu, and see if you can run higher HTT.

 

also, I run 1.6v right now and im burning in @ 10*302. there is no problem with 1.6v...

yes, do so...

 

it will give you 1.552v windowa read, but something like 1.59v in bios i think..

 

but if you do not gain anything, drop it down to your current setting..

If your

 

FSB is 275

Mulitpler - x 10

Divider - 140

 

Then his ram is running at just below 200Mhz and his CPU is around 2750Mhz.

 

Got my new Opty 148 atm but i have not clocked it yet as it still on default. Will be intresting though.

148 cabye, NICE!!!

 

right, im using 1.5*9.7% (1.65v) and running prime95 with cpu @ 2.85 now, fingers crossed it can do 12 hours without errors. cpu is 48c and chipset 44c under load using small in prime95.

 

will reply here whether it passes prime95 or not.
