Fight Game Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Ok, I've tried default windows drivers, 2 Nvidia drivers, and the Realtek driver that comes on the CD, and I cannot get my microphone to work. And yes I've made sure it's not muted in the properties, and even gave it the "boost". Upon doing a search here, I see several questions like this asked, without a response, so I'm beginning to wonder if there is a fix at all. Any ideas? Fight Game Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Well since I've had no response, I don't know if it's because nobody knows, or if people know that there is no fix. If there is no fix for this common problem, can someone atleast tell me that? Would an RMA help?

R3aper Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 um are you doing it in front of the case slots? if so make sure its wired from your case to the correct slot on your mobo. if that doesnt work try a diff mic
btm Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I gave up on trying to get my mic working months ago. I don't know how common this problem is, but I have seen a few people with similar issues.

Mobo Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I have the same problem. I think the modules may be defective, as if I use a sound card, the mic works.
Fight Game Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Mine works fine. Well I'm happy for you, but this does not help me....unless you want to trade. I guess nobody has an answer, so I'll go purchase a new mic, and if that don't work...RMA time. EDIT: New mic, same problem. This sucks, that first it don't work, and second, many have this problem, and don't get a response let alone a fix. Finally got everything the way I want it, and I have tear it apart, and go without, while I wait on RMA.
