I have also been having these issues.

I have tried all fixes recommended in this thread. I know now that while DFI are great boards, they really are for the enthusiast. I am gonna sell my board on ebay, and go back to good old MSI (I have had MSI boards for 5 years without any serious issues).

I dont think this issue is ever gonna be concluded.

I have tried different ram, timings, bios, clean install, clock settings, 2T fix.

Some had provided results but after a while again the PC goes. While I wanted to overclock I never thought it would cause this much stress. Apparently from all the tests I have run I dont have any faulty components!!

Look for a glut of DFI motherboards on ebay coming soon!

@ all concerned

This thread is starting to spiral out of control, so I am going to put some stark perspective on the matter before rumour starts to take over from fact. It is being speculated upon that there is some sort of common problem here. After reading thru this entire thread carefully, the facts are that ANY number of factors could be contibuting to the troubles presented here. Just because a number of people "report" an "issue" in a given thread does not indicate any structural problem. I have seen examples of use of questionable memory, and questionable power supplies. After reading thru the symptoms I also see examples of boards which should be simply sent off for RMA as they are likely damaged. What I do not see is a common denominator here. Yes it is possible that the mosfet regulating power to the memory slots has become fried. Yes it is possible that a CPU memory controller is defective. Yes it is possible that a hairline fracture has broken a trace. Yes it is possible that your memory just sux. Yes it is possible that your memory timings needs some tweaking. The point is that any or all of these factors could be leading YOUR system not to boot with 2 memory modules in dual channel mode.

I have seen a number of cries wondering why DFI doesn't respond. We can't and won't provide a response to matters where collective speculation has taken over from fact.

What can we do for you? We can help you thru the issues regarding your board on an individual basis. Why this approach? Because the problems are all individual. Where can you get help?

Just tried 2Go of G.Skill, does not change a thing (3 leds lit in dual channel), it won't even boot properly in single channel...

So... I tried other PSUs, another CPU, other RAM memories, I think now I tried it all and my DFI is just crap.

And don't talk to me about BIOS settings, this setup worked flawlessly for 10 days.

Now, if DFI does not even want me to try and get help in this forum, what is this forum for ??

Just posting to say that I have had a similar problem to everyone else in this thread and have tried many things, with a few I read here that I'm about to go attempt

My symptoms:

-Tried at first with the ram in my sig, when the modules were in the orange slots computer would boot but at the windows splash screen system would reboot every time, in safe mode it would reach the desktop then immediately reboot, the ram works perfectly fine individually or in slots that are not dual channel

-Purchased new ram (Corsair CMX-3200C2Pro), this ram BARELY works in the dual channel slots, as in it will boot and run, but I have occasional random reboots that windows refers to as fatal hardware errors, but I am running it this way currently because it's bearable

HOWEVER, when I use all 4 memory modules, (new ram in orange slots, previous ram in yellow slots), system will not POST and 3 LEDS stay lit with the constant long beeps

Note that I have used two seperate power supplies, but I don't have access to another CPU to try, and since I've replaced the power supply I know everything is seated properly

To Lowboy and Bulldog.

With all due respect, I think that there has been a common factor is a very large number of threads and corresponding posts. The common factor is the DFI Mother Boards.

The common issue is Dual Channel Memory not working and or causing unworkable instability.

I guess there is a 'slight' possibility of these forums being a magnet for that small percentage of people with a 'similar' issue, but surely it is enough to at least have a look at the issue as a whole and address the possibility that there is a too narrow margin of error allowed for in DFI MoBos?

This is the first time I have ever bought a mother board and had to go through a rediculous rigormarole to build it and then have absolutely abysmal stability in default settings!

Again will all due respect, if a well structured and concise response is provided from the start then the affore mentioned "collective speculation" wouldn't occur, and more importantly as BangoO so aptly pointed out, what is the point of the forum but to share experiences and attempt to offer alternative possibilities to issues.

If it is so offensive for us to ask "why arent DFI responding" or have you say "We can't and won't provide a response to matters where collective speculation has taken over from fact" then why don't you just close down the forum and put a place holder stating "DFI are sorry but we don't discuss issues in the public forum, please contact us on an individual basis as we believe that there is no way that your problem has been encountered by anyone else"

Being an INTEL user I have had to draw attention to the INTEL MoBo section in the forums a number of times and, like a number of other people here, have pretty much given up hope.

So in response to your rather derogitory tirade to your customers. Try this.

Yes, the issue could be the DFI Mother Board

Yes, we will attempt to help you out

Yes, we do value you as customers and

Yes, we will attempt to provide you with good customer service (god forbid).

I might also suggest - do a simple search on these forums and check to see if there is a wider issue before slamming the people that are attempting to fix the issue between them.

I will only say this as I won't waste anyone's time in a debate. If you or Bango wish to pursue this matter further then you may contact me at the afore-mentioned e-mail address and I will help you as best I can. We need to stick to the facts and avoid speculation. I doesn't serve anyone.

Bulldog I can send you a mail if you want to, but I don't know what I can tell you that I did not already posted here.

In a bit less than a month period, I took the time I had to test everything I can by myself and could not find any solution here or somewhere else.

So I guess your answer will be to RMA the board, which I will be already doing this week-end.

As nor DFI nor the shop will give me a new board right away, I will have to buy another one (yes, I do need my PC), which will obviously not be DFI, I don't have anymore time to spend on such issues.

PS: adding to this the fact that the spdif out never worked properly on my board, I won't take another chance at DFI...
