ajreynolds Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I've just built my system and I'm trying to download various programs, such as the latest nVidia drivers, anti-virus, etc. I'm unable to run most of the programs I've downloaded so far. They keep saying: "The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again." Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions on how to get around it? Thanks. ajreynolds Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Thanks. That did the trick. I actually had to uninstall the whole Forceware network management thingy and make sure Windows Firewall was disabled (I've got a real firewall anyway...) Once I did that it's all good. BrIONwoshMunky Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 You may want to add a "Resolved" header to your title. So others with the same problem will know that an answer can be found. You can't change the forum title, but you can change the title of your first post.
gotamd Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 You can actually also solve this problem by changing the offload setting from "Offload" to "Not Offloadable". For some reason the default setting causes network corruption.
