computertechy Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 use the first 2 from the left so u have the spair pin to the right(im just guessing that ur new to this thing or ur just not thinking lol we all go through that stage)

hmf Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 I've never seen a 3 pin front panel power led. The diagram is incorrect. Put your 2 pin power led wire on pins 4-6. ie leave pin 2 nearest the edge empty. Pins 1-2 have nothing on them.
computertechy Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 in the DFI manual it shows a 3 pin(exactly like the picture) so it isnt incorrect atall
hmf Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Have you ever seen a 3 pin power led connector?...I think not. Therefore the diagram is wrong. The sli manual is the same showing a three pin connection...it too is wrong.
computertechy Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 im not saying there is a 3 pin connector i am just saying it is on the board so use the left 2 and leave the spare pin to the right
red930 Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Front panel indicators that take up three pin positions are not rare at all. This is why the front panel connection provides for both two and three position connectors. If you look closely at the manual front panel instructions you will see that pin 6 is the negative lead and pins 4 and 2 are positive. This allows you to place the negative lead on pin 6 and the positive will always be on 2 or 4.

red930 Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Try this without removing the battery since you have an Expert board... http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...04&postcount=

Benmandude Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Well just to throw this in there. My case has a 3 pin power connector so it isnt complete nonsense to have the diagram like that.
