So I pulled my Audigy2 ZS Gamer out, enabled the onboard audio..

Recommended Posts

I've tried both the Marvell and Nvidia ethernet drivers/ports (enabled one at a time and only had one driver at a time installed).

I cannot acquire an IP... driver installs fine for either, it sees it. I cannot acquire an IP.

WTF????????????????????????????

Are you getting a 169.***.***.*** IP address?

Try pinging 127.1.1.1

If that works try Pining

"localhost" This will test if TCP IP is properly installed on your Network Card.

Ensure that DHCP is enabled on what ever your trying to connect to.

I can ping localhost yeah. It's a 169 addy, yep, the default windows one.

DHCP is enabled on the router, I changed NOTHING on the router, all i did was pull the Audigy out, and enable the onboard audio, it immediately killed my ability to obtain an IP. I tried uninstalling both interfaces, enabling one at a time, installing the driver, rebooting.

Nada.

What in the world could possibly cause this?
