Bikeman Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227211 OCZ Gold.. 2x512 Currently there are 2 sticks in the system, running rock solid.. Unfortunately, this "needed" upgrade has just been brought to my attention by a customer, and he needs them by xmas... I know that running 4 will prevent me from running 1T timings, but hes not doing that now anyway.. Would it be smarter to run 1gigx2 and sell the extra 2x512, or has this run just fine in default setups with very mild o/c? Thanks for readin folks Bikey
Guest thespin Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 If you are not Ocing and willing to run 2T maybe with looser timings, you should be okay ...
boatasiaus Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I agree with previous poster. These sticks aren't great for OC'ing IMHO, but the gain from going to 2MB will far outweigh the 2T change BTW, you've got some good sticks there. To get my set to 245, I needed about 3.3v
macelius Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 i had trouble with jsut one pair, i needed a whopping 3.0 v for stock (ocz says 2.8) so i was kinda pissd, but its doing 250 at 3.4 tho, mixed feelings so far
