KaollaSu Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Until last night I had 1GB Corsair XMS (2 x CMX512-3200XL) 2-2-2-5. Everything ran 100% stable at stock speeds, but even the smallest overclock would cause the system to become unstable. I replaced the 1GB with 2GB (2 x CMX1024-3200C2) 2-3-3-6. Managed to get 2400Mhz (10.0 * 240, 4.0 HT, 1.45 Vid Core *110%) out of my CPU and the memory set at 200MHZ (5/6 Divider, 2.8v). Ran 2 instances of Super Pi @ 32M, one on each core simultaneously, and they finished no problems. (They always failed when trying to overclock using the previous memory) Ran 2 instances of Prime95 overnight with 0 Errors. Currently about 1/2 way thru 50 iterations of 3DMark2K5 Pro with everything cranked to max. (1600x1200, 16x Anisotropic Filtering, 4xFSAA) I'm excited. Amazing the difference in overclockability just changing out the Corsair XMS for more Corsair XMS.

Trevor Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Yeah, I've also got the same ram except it's 512mb (CMX512-3200C2) It does overclock pretty nice. If I want to play around with overclocking I put that one in. I'm going to use that when my x2 3800+ from dell arrives http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35097 btw they have a good deal and it ends today! Just keep in mind they charge tax:(. My x2 3800+ came out to 300$ after 20$ tax:(.
