Bios Question

Greetings,

I have read through a bunch of the posts here including the step by step procedure for a NF4 Ultra-D build by Ed Jacobson but I still have a couple questions if you could indulge me please.

 

1. When I get to the BIOS settings in step 22 of his post should I wait to do these until I flash to a newer bios with T-Mods flash utility? I am not sure if those settings would be wiped out when I flash?

 

2. I think I am going to try the 704-2BTA bios. Would I still have to set up these optomized settings after flashing? I was going to follow the settings RGone laid out in his NF4 Ultra-D BIOS settings post.

 

3. When in the build process would I want to flash?

 

Sorry if these are noob questions. This is my first DFI board and the info here has been of tremendous help.

i usually flash the bios to the one ill be using asap. after you flash, yes load opt defaults reboot, then configure to your liking...nice case btw i wanted that one....as far as when to flash i do it after i verified the comp will boot to at least the bios...

Thanks for the info divided.

The case is nice but it takes a little bit of work to get the cables arranged with the Powerstream because some of them are a bit stiff. I still have the mobo out of the case until I get it flashed and set up in case something goes wrong.
