No more able to install win xp 64

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, when i had 2 x 256 mb s3+ memory i was able to install win xp 64 bit.

Now i have 2 x 512 mb s3+ memory, and i'm not able to install win xp 64 bit

Why? what happens? These memory stiks are double faced, the old ones single faced.

Win xp 32 bit runs perfectly

Is a problem of this mobo?

I tried every memory settings, i also changed memory slot, but no success

thanks

MEMTEST stable? That is one thing to check it is in most of the bios. Try to take one sick of memory out to see if that helps. If that doesnt work you might have already borked the inital install get memtest stabe and do a fresh install again with one stick start to finish. You might need to try one of the other bios see bios factory section.

mem test runs ok, no errors

I made cd by nlite, during installation appears the bleu screen:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer etc..."

at the end:

STOP: 0X0000001E(0XFFFFFFFFC0000005,0XFFFFF8000083F4F9,0X000000000000,0X0000000000040)

I've noticed that if i put memory stiks in to yellow slots also win xp32 doesn't boot
