wevsspot Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 With the hoidays upon us I wanted to take a minute and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and encourage everyone to remember the true meaning of the season. As a retired member of the ANG, 142 Field Artillery Unit, I'd hope that everyone here says a special prayer for our men and women serving both here and abroad. Regardless of politics, when called upon to serve they have no other choice than to do their duties with dignity and honor. For those of us from the US or other western cultures, keep in mind that we are under constant attack from radical cultures and religious beliefs much different than our own. We must maintain a strong and vigilent presence across the globe to protect the freedoms that so many of our countrymen (and women) have sacrificed their lives for. I'd also like to make a personal apology to a couple of special people here in the forums that I may have crossed in 2005. Specifically Angry Games and Reinvented. Some of my experiences here at the Street have been less than pleasant, and at times I admit I've taken my frustration out when in reality it was my fault to begin with. Since I'm man enough to admit my mistakes, I hope that anyone I've offended is man enough to accept my apologies. I've got family members and friends in the Marines serving in Iraq right now. So to them I say SEMPER FI. Nickey and Justin - be careful. See you when you get home!
Guest thespin Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Amen to that, broman. May God keep our soldiers and supporting personnel safe and bring His Peace to the region. Let us also remember in prayer those subject to genocide in parts of the African continent and those sold into slavery and prostitution all over the world especially children. A Holy and Happy Christmas to all ....
