spstrikwerda Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 hi guys, at first i want to say hello to you all, since i'm new here. I'm reading a lot on XS and GoT (dutch forum), but i have a very serious problem, so i ask here. This is my problem: No matter what i try, i cannot get my system stable between ~ 230 - 290 FSB. At 200 / 300 everything is fine. Changing the multi does not help. (4x230 is just as unstable as 10x230). All memory timings in BIOS are set to default, except the 2.5-3-3-7 timings. Until a few weeks ago, i ran up to 300x10 stable using these settings, but now i'm getting a lot of BSOD's. I tried everything, tried different BIOSes, relaxed memory timings, using dividers, playing with cpu and mem voltage, swapped memory sticks, even used another videocard, but nothing helps! A guy from G.skill suggested to RMA my memory, he thought it was broken. But i find that rather strange, seeing the memory does DDR600 flawlessly. Please help me! I am very desperate right now. I am already considering to buy a DFI Expert, 'cause i'm thinking my mobo is the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated! TheFlowerKing Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 All memory timings in BIOS are set to default, except the 2.5-3-3-7 timings. I think that is going to be your problem, you need to set the other timings as well.

spstrikwerda Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I think that is going to be your problem, you need to set the other timings as well. i find this rather strange, i always worked using AUTO values, no problem. A friend of mine reported a similar problem. Is this known? I tried them manually, and used the values from Kakaroto's guide on XS (he works for G.skill, so he knows), but they don't work. Kawasaki 1 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 What do you have your FSB/HTT multi set at? Update your BIOS and see if that helps. Is CPC disabled? I know my G.Skill likes low voltage, nothing over 2.7v. When you OC it to DDR550, you more than likey will need to have CPC disabled. spstrikwerda Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 my LDT multi is set at 3x. I will try to run with 2T and CPC disabled to see if that helps. But doing that, i will lose a lot of bandwidth. How come it worked before in the past, but does not work now?

Zaheyu Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 You really need to read the OC guide (sticky) and set everything about the memory manualy. These boards are supposed to be tweaked. I you want to use 'auto' go buy asus. When you set a divider for mem, 'auto' sets it to auto for that freq. use A64MemFreq11 to find out your real mem speed, and set it acording to that.
