pr0z Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Hi everyone! I got a problem with the integrated sound controller. When the CPU or SATA drives load I can hear a high frequent sound when I have something connected to the green karajan connection on the back. I can also hear it when I move the mouse. I do not have this problem when listening from the SPDIF, its just from the green one. I've tried NVIDIAS drivers through forceware and realteks, and the problem still exist. I've tried another PSU with the same result I dont now what it might be, but it's really anoying.
GarethK Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Hi sounds like poor grounding to me.... audio devices always need to have good grounding so that no noise is introduced. On the other hand previous attempts with on board audio have resulted in noise introduction on account of the proximity of the audio components to the other circuits, I assume this is why the Karajan is a seperate module. Maybe you have a duff module so see what DFI say Cheers
Smoken Joe Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Same problem for me with the stock one unfortunaly. A sound card willl fix that and that is why they had the module but nothing will compair to a card....... except perhaps the now dead soundstorm.
