Guest wenis Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Hello, I would recommend an Opteron 148 (single core). They are easy to overclock, and probably the best on the price/performance curve. I have mine running at 3Ghz with 1.45v! For the video card, the 7800GT is very nice. I purchased an eVga N516 with a copper heatsink and so far I am very happy with it. Elias Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 The Gto is very overclockable from what ive heard, with the gto2 you can unlock it to 16 pixelpiplines or I think there is a gto out with the 16 allready enabled. I belive the x1600 is supposed to be the ati counter to the 6800gs as well if you would like to look into that. http://www.tomshardware.com/site/vgacharts/index.html whenever Im looking at graphics cards though I always check the benches. What is the budget on you graphics card though? if you doing video editing it maby be worth the extra $$$ to spring for the 7800
