Network problems after Ultra-D install

Ever since I installed this DFI board and reinstalled windows, I have been having network troubles. First, I cant do windows updates, it always says the updates fail to install. I cant share files on my network and cant see other computers on the network either.

 

All of this stuff worked without a problem with all the other boards i have ever had.

Did you install the chipset drivers with the nVIDIA Active Armor? If so, that is your problem. It won't allow Windows Updates to be installed properly. Let us know.

umm i dont think I did, but i guess i can uninstall the chipset drivers and reinstall them.... should i just download the newest drivers from nvidias site? Will those have active armor built in?

Active Armor is part of the install package, but you have a choice whether to install it or not. It's a separate application.

 

Yes, always download the latest drivers. Should be v 6.70.

Alright Ill download those and see what happens. I am almost positive i didnt install active armor though because in general I dont like any of Nvidias firewall stuff from past experience.

 

If i had active armor installed, wouldnt it show up in add/remove programs or something.... its not there.
