Guest fox Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 i've had a good look around and i keep seeing mentions of this BIOS is better than yours etc, but haven't actually seen a feedback thread for which BIOS are stable/fast/safe and which motherboard drivers i should be using for windows. currently stock BIOS that came with my board. version 6.00 PG from 06/23/2005. and the drivers which were on my disk. don't know what ones, but which drivers are good? please post what BIOS revision you are using/have used on your machine, with a review of what you found, ie better clocking, better gpu stability better memory timings possible etc. also where you got it from on the site i found NF4D623-3 and NF4LD310 what and where'd you get your drivers from? what version of nTune. if no-one can make me look stupid and link me to a thread where we have this then i'll update this one with what works with the ultra-d
Sharp Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Hello, Get nVidia chipset drivers here - Do not install the nvidia firewall/network access manager software - Do not install the IDE SW driver * Note, if you install these Audio drivers you do not need to install the RealTek ones. GFX card drivers Get ATi drivers here Get nVidia drivers here BIOS, stay with the latest which is currently 623-3. The others are beta BIOSes, they do not offer any kind of performance increase. People may find that these versions help with overclocking. Do not use nTune.
Guest fox Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 is the 6.00/06/23/2005= 623-3? thought there'd be a page somewhere on the forums that'd have all this stuff listed, even the ABIT forums had that with anything related to what you'd need in, the bios the flashmenu the uguru etc
