CalvinColdstar Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Just purchased my new rig (specs in siggy) As my OCZ Platinum(TCB3 I believe) Rams have yet to arrive, i decided to use my old Kingston Value Rams (Hynix DT-D43) The prob is, when i turn on my rig, the screen is blank. The diagnostic leds stucks @ 2leds... According to the manual and my own interpretation, i assume its either the Rams or the GPU....but strangely enuff when i tested the board with my old 6600GT Pci-e, i still get the same problem...... is it that my board hates my kingston rams or is it that the board is faulty? bikspk Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 This may be a stupid suggestion but did you put the RAM in the correct slots? I initially put 2x512 in slot 1 and 3 and couldn't get the machine to boot but when in 2 & 4 it worked fine - the manual recommends slots 2 and 4. nibean Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Do you have your 4 pin power connecter plugged into the 8 pin molex? I had to do that before my computer would boot.
CalvinColdstar Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 all connecters are plugged in except for the floppy connector that is needed when in crossfire and also i tried using 1 stick of ram and in all 4 slots i still get the same problem

bro20000 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I had the same problem if u have some basic ddr 400 lying around use that then in bios put the volt up to 2.9 and then save and exit and switch off and put the ocz mem in and that should sort ur problem!
