go into BIOS, Load Optimized Defaults, save & exit, and see if it will pass the CMOS Check on the black screen

if so, you'll have to check your bios settings

you should start though by re-reading the rules and checking the picture that shows you how to find the BIOS version, and list your BIOS version in your sig.

you should definitely also supply your sig with your power supply make/model # and wattage so we know what you have there also ;)

after fixing up your sig, and if that Load Optimized Defaults didn't help, post back and let us know (and let us know if that helped)

you can freeze the initial POST (black) screen with the Pause/Break key on your keyboard (waaaay upper right hand of your keyboard)

but since you can get to the CMOS check screen, it means you can boot into the BIOS itself by hitting delete when the computer first hits the initial POST screen.

go into BIOS, Load Optimized Defaults, save & exit, and see if it will pass the CMOS Check on the black screen
