All bioses from 5.09 and later are optimized like this, TCC* = Orange slots and BH-5,UTT = Yellow slots

 

Was going to use the 704-2bt from OCZtony. Is this is a "recommened" option from someone with intelligence, or a universal truth to DFI bioses??

kind of, my experience point to that my bh-5 likes the yellow slots and a -2 bios...

Graphite.. Your BEST option is to throw out everything you read or hear people saying and try different slots to see which works best for your individual rig ..

EXACTLY! everyone told me to use the orange slots with my ballistix 2GB set, and I kept getting BSOD's over 250FSB. I changed to the yellows and have gone as high as 278FSB stable.

Also, something as simple as swapping the sticks in whatever pair of slots you choose can make a difference.

I'm using the 704-2bta Bios and it doesn't matter if I use yellow or orange slots with my BH-5.

Both slots do 240mhz stable but fail at 245mhz.

You have to try it yourself.
