Yellow or orange dimm slots? Conflicting search results...

Recommended Posts

Search tool has worked wonders so far from me.

I did a search on yellow orange slots. To find out what dimm slots to shove my bh-5 into and let it rip. Only problem is, people have different answers to which dimm slots to use. Some say use orange all the time, yellow all the time, yellow on this bios only....etc etc. I can't find a straight up answer.

Thanks for the help.

the answer for this is going to be dependent on who you ask

I use both orange and yellow

I've tested both

with 5/10-2 or later bios, both of them work equally well

there's no difference

some might find a difference

some wont

some just repeat what others say

some do that because they never actually tested

some have tested and found both to work equally well

some have tested and either yellow or orange is better FOR THEM

re-read the rules and find the picture that shows you where your BIOS version is...put your bios version in your sig please (or list whatever bios you have flashed the board to yourself if you have flashed your bios)

You wont find a definitive awnser On that as .. Although they are the same boards There is always a little difference... I normaly Use the Orange for BH &CH Die Memory.. And yellow for the rest.. But Have had instances where the yellow actualy worked Better For BH, Ch Memory...

Best advice I can give is spend some time with Both.. And see which youre particular Board Likes the best.

I'm actually going testing bios' right now AG. Trying to figure out which to use for the next couple years hehe. A couple versions won't allow some settings i'm trying to run, some are. Was just making 100% i wasn't having a compatability issue with the different dimms.

Thanks for the quick replies guys!
