ixtapalapaquetl Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Just found this thread at XS, worked like a charm on my XFX. Raises Vgpu to 1.5V, and took about 5 minutes. Results using Coolbits Detect Optimal Frequencies: Before: 488 / 1.12 After: 512 / 1.17 Give it a look! NiBiTor 2.5a available here and nVFlash here. Redbeaver Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 bump on an old thread, coz i just did this yesterday and it works like magic!! before, coolbit detect 485/1.12, now it detect 514/1.19 !! i bump the mem to 1.2 and core to 515, bench no artifact no bluescreen! great mod! HOWEVER, the new nvbitor is 2.6A, u DO NOT NEED to change to 6800series and do all those volt manual mod... all u need to do is load bios from card, go to volt settings, put a tick on extended voltage, select 1.5, save. reflash card. DONE! boost 3Dmark05 from 8121 (470/1.1, mine is eVGA CO), to 8340+ (forgot how much, its this morning, im late to work)

TheGeekMistress Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 yah i flashed my X800PRO vivo to X800XT-PE.... but now i can't overclock the core or mem as high, i guess from the added heat of the extra four pipes oh well, it's no2 pencil for me TGM

Guest laydback Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I've been using this mod for a while. A good resourse for info regarding this mod is www.MVKTECH.net , the mod is only for GT cards because GTX cards use a different voltage table. In addition the mod only works on some cards so the only real way to tell is with a multimeter.
