Opteron 148 CABYE 0543 FPMW 2.9G Rock Stable

SOLD!

This is a Retail Boxed Opteron 148 CABYE 0543 FPMW.

It runs 2.9G rock stable (Memtest, Prime) and actually runs 3G fairly stable as well but I have not been able to get it Prime stable at 3G.

Then again, maybe it's something I'm doing wrong with the fine-tuning....

I have a Model 150 CABCE 0512 and it hits the wall at the same exact place. Just about burned through a new tube of AS5 switching them back and forth trying to figure out which one is better. No conclusions that I could find, but I paid more for the 150 and it gives me one extra multiplier so I guess that's the one I keep.

Looks like $275 is the going price for this stepping right now so that is the price. USPS Priority shipping is included. Paypal USA verified buyers only (as I am).

Sorry to polute your thread, but I have the exact same stepping 148, and noticed you were running the 704-BTA bios.

Did you notice any increase in stability with that bios?

Thanks

I've been running 704-2BTA ever since it was released. It's the best version around for most people. I haven't tried any older BIOS versions, but if they made any significant improvements I'd be really surprised.

I think with better cooling (my case runs on the warm side) and a little more fine tuning, this chip would do 3G Prime stable no problem.

The chip still looks brand new and is in the box ready to ship! ;)
