Could this be from Cold boot?

Recommended Posts

Well, I now have a bad stick of VX memory, I was just wondering if this could be from the cold boot issue?

Well, I think it's possible. After a couple of weeks of cold boot problems with my VX one of them gave up - and is now in RMA.

Very strange problem this is, because at first my VX has been working fine until I had to move the computer (and unplug everything). Since then the problems started. With my TCCD memory however I've never had any problems.

Same discussion is going on in following thread :

We have to be careful though about the diagnosis of a "cold boot problem" : there seem to be several different issues adressed as being the same cold boot problem. This is probably not the case.

Especially the last is a very interesting read.
