Guest pulse Posted November 24, 2005 Hey guys! Does anyone have so high temps on those 2 chips, on full load? PWM = 55 Chipset = 55 PWM = 47 idle Chipset = 49 idle I have replace the original "pasta" with AC5 on my chipset...
HITandRUN Posted November 24, 2005 Nop! Too high if you ask me! I got PWM = 30 idle (active cooling 2x 80 mmm fan) Chipset = 32 idle (evercool VC-RE)
EdLSmith Posted November 24, 2005 Those temps are normal. Please read this: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21207 The info in your sig helps others to help you. Welcom to DFI-Street
superflyguy Posted November 24, 2005 I agree with EdlSmith, those temps are a ok. Hit and Run has cosiderable water cooling in his case (checkout the airflow on his Tornadoes!!) and uprated cooling on his chipset, so thats how his temps are so low (jealous? me?!). But just ask him what the noise levels are like....
ricey Posted November 24, 2005 Yeah, not too hot at all! well within specs. ricey
HITandRUN Posted November 24, 2005 Yeah noisy a little bit when I fire it up all the way! Usually only half speed! I got also the crossflo fan in my stacker!
superflyguy Posted November 24, 2005 Sounds neat, must be quite effecient, I'd imagine there is some heat produced by all that gear. How diificult was it to install? Always thought about water cooling but thought it would be too much trouble!
HITandRUN Posted November 25, 2005 Not too bad! This is already the 3rd water cooled rig for me! You always improve etc. It’s a learning curve! Next year I would like to build my own dual phase change cooling! We see!
