Windows Installer cannot see my HDD

Recommended Posts

I bought brand new mobo, processor and HDD (Maxtor Maxline III 300 GB SATA) and for some reason ..my Windows Installer (SP2 ...booting from CD) cannot see my HDD (BIOS recognizes it) . I have upgraded my bios to the newest version , but it didn't solve my problem.

I know that my HDD is good, because I tried it on my Lanparty NF4-U and everything was fine...

@Prisoner.88

You have to press F6 at first screen when your CD Boot UP to install your Sata Drivers
only if installing raid.

There are ongoing issues with maxtor series 10 16mb cache drives but which involves detection/disappearing & corruption, but i think the maxline are ok.

what other drives have u conneccted

In bios try changing access mode of your maxline from auto 2 large & see if xp cd sees it then.
