nosake Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I think you just use the 97 plug.
Andrmgic Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Yeah, the 97 plug works like a charm Just built a system with that case tonight (well, yesterday.. if you want to be technical about it hehe), actually.
honorelsu Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 what is the 97 plug?
Andrmgic Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Hrm.. on my case, the front panel has 3 sets of connectors for audio.. one is marked HD, another is marked AC97 and the other one is just a bunch of loose individual wire connectors. The AC97 and HD plugs look similar to the USB and Firewire black plugs. I was talking about putting the AC 97 plug onto the front audio pins on the Karajan (after pulling the protective jumpers off first) This is my case, btw. digitalx0 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I am wanting to know the same answer. I do not have a "HD" or "AC97" Plug; I only have the loose wires. From what I can tell from the circuit board writing, my karajan has a slightly different pin numbering... 2 4 6 8 10 1 3 5 7 9 and my centurion case has the following cables to be used: (2) R Out (2) L Out GND MIC IN MIC POWER I don't know from the drawign what to do, and it makes it even more difficutl when our pin numbering seems off
GarethK Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Hi....Have you sorted your pin problem yet?? Don't get too confused with pin numbers and what they're labelled.... one step at a time and it is quite easy. Each line out channel will have two wires (so thats 4), one for postive and one for negative. Start by connecting your 2 'L out' wires to the two pins furthest from the back of the case (9 + 10). The next pin on its own is not used. Connect 2 'R out' wires to the next two pins (5 + 6), make sure that the polarity is correct....so if you have the left (-) cable connected to (line_out_left_front) then make sure right (-) cable is connected to (line_out_right_front). Now for the mic. Connect GND to GND. Connect MIC IN to Mic_left. Finally connect MIC POWER to VCC. There should be a spare pin on the Karajan for Mic_right (you do not need this because the mic input is a mono connection). Also you will have a spare wire from the front panel (+5v), don't worry about this it is for amplified mics. Hope this helps.
