Watercooling the NF4-SLI DR

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Has anyone done this? Any one know a decent block for the chipset and a decent low profile block for the GPU if I bung in a 2nd 7800GTX in SLI?

Cheers....

Danger Den is my choice. You can contact CPUKiller on this forum. He works for DD and can assist you with any questions that you have. Excellent service and great support. My first watercooling setup was about 5 months ago. It was so easy and was amazed by the results. Now, 5 out of 6 of my rigs are running DD watercooling and wouldn't have it any other way.

Best of luck.

Hi, what sort of temps do you get and what kit did you purchase?

Isnt Danger Den the same manufacturers as Swiftech? I was looking at the Swiftech H20 Apex Extreme.

Some of the pumps made by the same people swifttec uses but other than that they are diffrent.

You can simply direct a fan on the chipset and turn the fan down and get good temps there are chipset blocks though it really isnt a great idea. there is more info on that in the mods section I dont think DD botherd with that.

you will have to purchase this from Germany or Italy, since I think they are the only ones who make it that would fit the board that you have when you have 2 cards. I know MIPScomputers have them.

DD makes low profile blocks for the 7800 series GPU's. They use ramsinks to put on the memory. My idle temps are between 36-37C and load are 40-41C. heavily OC'ed for my 6800GT's

Hey I bought the EK chipset water block (http://www.cerkovnik.si/indexh2o_e.htm) as a test and it was working great! As a matter of fact I’m selling it! If you interested drop me a note and I’ll send you some pictures of how it fits etc. :shake:

Have you still got any pics of the wb fitted? Thinking of switching to W/C my Northbridge.

Cheers

watercooling the chipset on the sli-dr board will be a nightmare,

especially if you have a 7800gtx.

the gains are negligible imo, compared to a good chipset cooler

evercool,or the jingting

Cooling the Chipset is pointless with everything else meaning GFXs and CPU you wont need a chipset cooler

Really and Evercool VR-RE is all you need
