Q-Ball Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Hi, Just got the board. I'm having trouble SLI'ing. I got 2 BFG 7800 GTX's connected with the SLI Bridge. In the Bios I set PCIE Specturn to Auto. Windows XP SP2 has both card in device manger. I have Latest Nvidia's as well. But when I goto SLI in display properties it says You must remove any graphics cards that are not compatible with NVIDIA Scalable Interface (SLI) technology before you can enable SLI. Also, does it matter which way the SLI Bridge Connects? It fits both ways. Thanks UPDATE! Got it going! Scroll down to see trouble shooting. soundx98 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Do they both have identical Bioses?
HITandRUN Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Had the same problem and if you believe it or not the solution in my case was to restart the pc. This is what happened exactly! After installing the second card and booting up the card got installed and I was able to see it in the hardware manager but couldn’t enable it in the GPU properties. After this I restarted the pc and than I was able to enabe it to SLI mode! That’s it! Worked for me!
Q-Ball Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Do they both have identical Bioses? I would assume so. I never changed them

Paprikachu Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Might just be a stupid question, but what about the jumpers between the 2 PCI-Ex slot? Changed them?

Q-Ball Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Ok, I figured it out! From Advanced Bios Features - SLI Broadcast DISABLE From the Genie Bios - PCI Express Configuration 8-4-NC-8 From the Genie Bios - Dual 6600 GT Cards Support - ENABLED After those Changes, I moved the DVI from my HP L2335 to the bottom 7800 GTX Card, and she lite up! Enabled SLI! :shake: Thanks for your help!
