Chiugai Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Right now I'm running version 3/10, and a lot of people are saying flashing to 6/23 is a good idea. However, I notice nothing wrong with my current version...specs in sig.
Chiugai Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Also, I already have quite a bit of stuff on this computer...if I flash the BIOS, I'll still have all my settings and files right?
Meltdown Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Flashing your Bios shouldn't effect any info on your hard drive. Bios 6/23 is very good, but as the saying goes 'if it ain't broken don't fix it'

However, I notice nothing wrong with my current version...specs in sig. You need that BIOS to fully support your CPU. Flashing your BIOS should not affect your installed programs in any way. This CD is awesome for flashing BIOSes. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22031
Chiugai Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 So you're saying my CPU isn't fully supported right now?? o_o Hmm perhaps I shall flash then...
Chiugai Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Following Tmod's CD, (which looks really awesome and useful btw) which BIOS should I flash to? What is Lanparty "B" and what is Lanparty UT 250GB? I'm thinking that the one for me is under just plain NF4 Lanparty BIOS's. But what's the difference between 6/23-1, 6/23-2, and 6/23-3? edit: Nevermind, I did some research and found my answers. So basically when flashing BIOS, right after the flash I should remove power from the system, (is it okay to just pull the plug/switch off power supply while the computer is in the middle of doing something?) clear the CMOS for 10 minutes, put it back into original position, and then it should run fine after boot up?
