So let me know if you guys think this build will work well together, or if some parts wont work with others etc.

Im most worried about the PSU, Monitor (12ms too high?? cause ghosting??), HD is 10k alot better than 7,200rpm does it make a big difference in preformance

also this is going to be a gaming rig. So also let me know if i can find cheaper better parts to get more bang for my buck this system above is about 1,900$ as it stands. I can go a little higher but not too much, thx for your time!

You'll find people pushing you away from the Antec PSU in favor of the OCZ Powerstream 520. After rebate that'll tack on about an extra $50 and a lot of quality.

Stick with the Raptor if you like, but the Hitachi's and now some of Seagate 7200.9's are getting good reviews for SATA 3.0 Gb/s drives.

Can't comment on the LCD, as I have no experience with that model.

ETA: That Dave, he's fast!

Ive seen that alot of gamers will go with a 10krpm hd but does that make a big difference in gaming and such? it could write files and read files faster but im just trying to think how that would REALLY benefit a gamer? because I could go with a HD thats much larger but is just a little slower... maybe someone can enlighten me?

If you play something like BF2, I think a faster HD helps.

It helps you load a level before someone with slower equipment, so you can get in faster and get the vehicle that you want before someone else does.

It seems pretty cheesy, but we have a Chopper/Armor whore in our clan, and he gets in faster than anyone, and the only thing I can think of is it must be his Raptors in Raid 0.

Can anyone offer some thoughts?

Ok well I have also read that unless your doing RAID 0 and its kinda pointless to get just 1 of these 10krpm hd's (is that true). and does the dfi nf4 lanparty ultra-d support a sata 150? because it doesnt look like it.. it just has ATA 133 and SATA II
